this is the best cat book i have ever seen. i spent my entire info shift paging through it, and i never look at books at info. i made haslyn deal with approaching customers. but the book also enrages me. i just finished reading that sebastian horsley book and at the end he says “it always excites me to write about violence toward the things that i love.” and i completely understand that. because this book makes me feel like lennie. there is a page in here, i just want to scoop the cat up and hug it into a fine paste because it is too too cute for my eyes. this is why i want to punch red pandas: how can something so cute even exist?? i always say it is like childless aunts who pinch children’s cheeks—i just get this feeling in my fingers that wants to destroy because it’s so cute i want to throttle. i may be part hulk. i never would hurt an animal, i even catch houseflies and set them free, but i can’t deny my feelings of lovingviolence towards the small and furry.

this feels gauche, but when i announced i was starting a blog, everyone assured me this is a thing that is done. i’m not on facebook, i’ve never had a cellphone or listened to a podcast; so many common experiences of modern life are foreign to me, but i’m certainly struggling financially, so if this is how the world works now, i’d be foolish to pass it up. any support will be received with equal parts gratitude and bewilderment.
