but sometimes heathcliff wanted to relive the good old days, going so far as to steal a fish from the local fishmonger, even as he brandished enough money to buy all the fish in the ocean.

finally, after three years, fed up with the emptiness of his life, with enough money to not only buy all the fish in the ocean but also probably enough to impress a woman who’d never been more than twenty yards from home, heathcliff returned to wuthering heights to claim his one true love.

and hell followed with him.
