Get Stuffed: 24 Projects for the Bereaved Pet Owner by Chuck Iglesias
My rating: 5/5 cats
another one of those books that delights me and that everyone else is probably tired of me finding. don’t care! i will just pretend you are all jealous of my sicko books! i say, “get stuffed!!” to you! to all of you!!
because this book, like other favorites of mine (Fancy Coffins to Make Yourself, Housebuilding for Children 2nd ed: Step-By-Step Guides For Houses Children Can Build Themselves), is very useful. what do you do when your pet dies? for example, what will you do if you live where i do and you don’t have a yard or a little pet burial ground or your pet burial ground is all haunted with ancient indian evil or something like in that book. you know which one i mean.
but it makes me realize i have been choosing the wrong pets to keep me company all this time. why do i have a cat, anyway?? what can i make out of a damn cat??
but i already have a pretty nice lamp, and i don’t think that one made out of maggie would give me enough light to read by. her eyes are lovely and golden already, but can you see me making a useful lamp outta this?:
not really.
but if i had some pet rats!!!now we’re cooking!
see? that is very relevant to things i am already doing!
and gerbils:
this is something that i could really use in my day-to-day.
so i just have to be more long-term in deciding what kind of pets to get from now on. i have to think of what use they can serve after they stop being snuggly and, you know, alive.
this one is for brian:
a very practical book.
