ORIGIN STORY!!!

yes, i have read another novella in the world of zombies vs. werewolves!! or “werewolves!!” and i am having a great time with these things. and while none of them have given me that frisson of glee and delight that my introduction into this world—Pavlov’s Dogs, did, they are still loads of fun, and they are fantastic at filling in the gaps, answering questions and most importantly, giving me more disgusting mental images in my HOLY SHIT, DID I JUST READ WHAT I THINK I JUST READ??? mental image bank.

this one traces the origins and birth of both alpha mcloughlin and kaiser, 26 years before Pavlov’s Dogs takes place. and it is a terrible commercial for pregnancy.

remember that scene in rosemary’s baby where she starts getting pregnancy cravings for very rare meat?? well, when you are incubating a monster in your tummy, you will naturally have cravings for unusual things, and this one tops rosemary’s baby by about a million levels of gross-out. and keep in mind who i am and that i do not get grossed out by much. it was wonderful.

also, the birthing-room scene reveal involving anna is chilling perfection. loved it.

i have one more to go!! and then what???? THEN WHAT???

come read these and catch up to me!!

awwwwww….

this feels gauche, but when i announced i was starting a blog, everyone assured me this is a thing that is done. i’m not on facebook, i’ve never had a cellphone or listened to a podcast; so many common experiences of modern life are foreign to me, but i’m certainly struggling financially, so if this is how the world works now, i’d be foolish to pass it up. any support will be received with equal parts gratitude and bewilderment.
