“That’s everything. Are you sure you want to proceed?” ♦&x asked.

“Yes,” the young traveler said.

Her peer squeezed her shoulder. But the traveler placed her own hand on top of her peer’s hand reassuringly. “I’m fine,” she said in a soft voice.

♦&x carefully took the Identity Seal and said, “This way.”

this is a very short tor short, and there’s not much to it beyond the discovery of its whatness, so how shall we fill our time together here? i guess with advice. on average, you’re gonna get lied to, conned, or cheated a couple times a day. usually pretty minor stuff. so but, if someone’s telling you that they have discovered the answers to the unknowable questions, whether derived through science or religion, just maybe take a sec to be skeptical before signing off on allowing nanobots to penetrate yr blood-brain barrier. and that’s auntie karen’s wisdom of the day. MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

this feels gauche, but when i announced i was starting a blog, everyone assured me this is a thing that is done. i’m not on facebook, i’ve never had a cellphone or listened to a podcast; so many common experiences of modern life are foreign to me, but i’m certainly struggling financially, so if this is how the world works now, i’d be foolish to pass it up. any support will be received with equal parts gratitude and bewilderment.
